Gary Rust is the director of rustmedia – a full service agency serving businesses across all media through strategic design and communications. Rust served more than 12 years as head of digital for Rust Communication and its 19 daily newspapers in 9 states. He was the founder and president of Concord International, a publishing company that pioneered digital Japanese communications in the United States. Rust is the former Advancement Director for two international educational foundations in Japan located in Tokyo and Osaka and a newspaper publisher in Missouri. Rust graduated from Washington University in St. Louis with a degree in Asian Studies. He is married with two children. His wife, Suzuyo, heads the Japanese Language Department at Webster University in St. Louis.
